We are currently working with the UK subsidiary of a global player within the energy sector that has seen exponential growth over the last few years.
The business is highly profitable and forecasts significant continued growth moving forward.
The organisation is recognised for its innovative solutions and value-added technologies, offering a full range of services across this highly profitable and expanding sector.
As a result of a significantly expanding workload, they need to appoint an experienced construction lawyer, ideally with at least 3 year's experience of construction and/or energy matters, to work alongside the UK Head of Legal.
The role will need someone who can hit the ground running and will be based in the Southwest or on an entirely remote basis.
They are very open to considering experienced candidates who would like to work on a part-time basis.
This is a highly varied role, providing advice and support on legal issues across the business, and will involve working closely with stakeholders across the Commercial, Projects, Purchasing, Regulatory and Risk and Finance teams.
The work is complex, high value and varied and will suit an ambitious lawyer who has excellent people skills and is keen to make a mark in this developing and supportive team.
Previous in-house experience or a strong interest in the energy sector is highly desirable but more importantly you will have excellent drafting and presentation skills, with a strong aptitude for working with a broad range of colleagues.
The role is part of global legal team and your role will necessitate cross-collaboration with the wider legal department as well as the ability and enthusiasm to embrace the variety and unpredictability of working within the in-house environment.
