Job Description Ivy Resource Group are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join their company on a permanent basis in Swindon, Wiltshire.
\n \n The company: \n Our client is a regional contractor who predominately work in the commercial sector on projects such as schools, colleges, churches, museums etc.
\n \n The role entails: \n Assessing the Client's requirements \n Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work, materials needed, and labour requirements \n Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that estimates are accurate \n Conduct site visits to gather necessary information \n Measuring quantities and preparation of the bill of quantities using specialized software and industry-standard methods \n Preparing and sending out subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
\n Analyse and interpret the subcontractor's proposals to ensure the Client's requirements are met \n Identify risks, opportunities and make informed decisions about pricing and profitability \n \n Requirements: \n Have worked for a similar contractor, 3 years experience as a minimum.
