Job DescriptionPost Title: Conservation OfficerLocation: InvernessHours: 35 hours per weekDuration: PermanentSalary: £42, - £46, p.a.Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.Contact Person: Andrew Puls E-mail: or Nicole Wallace Tel: or Dafydd Jones Tel: Job Purpose: You will be the primary point of contact within the Council for all matters relating to built heritage.You will lead the provision of building conservation advice to the planning service, developers and agents on a range of proposals that impact Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas to secure the best outcomes for built heritage in accordance with relevant legislation, policy and guidance.
You will lead on policy development on matters relating to building conservation, be responsible for developing and delivering conservation area reviews, appraisals and management plans and prepare responses to local and national consultations as required.
You will liaise with both local and national partners and stakeholders and respond to relevant enquiries from Council services, elected Members, developers and the public.Please APPLY ONLINE.
