Due to continued growth they are now seeking a new Condition Monitoring Engineer to join their dynamic and rapidly growing team, on a full time permanent basis.
The Condition Monitoring Engineer plays a critical role in the reliability and performance of the clients' machinery and equipment.
As a more experienced member of the condition monitoring team, the Condition Monitoring Engineer is responsible for on-site data collection, analysis, and reporting of condition monitoring data using advanced techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
This role also involves mentoring less experienced technicians, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards, and maintaining strong communication with clients.
The Condition Monitoring Engineer will act as the primary technical resource for troubleshooting and advising on equipment health and reliability.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively to clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities: Condition Monitoring Setup and Management Lead the setup of condition monitoring programs for clients, including building and maintaining CM technology databases to applicable company and client standards.Assist with advanced setup work such as Criticality Analysis, Condition Monitoring Stand equipment walk-downs for information gathering.
Data Collection and Analysis Responsible for the on-site data collection using various condition monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and ultrasound.
Ensure all data is collected accurately and aligns with industry best practices and company standards.
Perform visual inspections of equipment to identify any installation issues, damage, or other potential problems.Analyse collected data for defects or deficient conditions and report findings accurately.
Reporting and Communication Generate detailed reports based on the analysis of condition monitoring data, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Communicate the results to clients, ensuring that all critical issues are communicated before the end of the day.
Follow up with clients to ensure understanding of the report and any recommended actions.
Maintain records of all reports sent to customers, ensuring that documentation is accurate and accessible for future reference.
Customer Communication and Education Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing clear communication about the condition monitoring process, results, and recommendations.
Conduct technology awareness sessions for clients as requested, helping them understand the value of condition monitoring.
Submit documented case studies to support machine lifecycle improvement and showcase the impact of the services provided.
Database Management and Auditing Ensure all condition monitoring databases are up to date with accurate information, including asset codes, images, and bearing information.
Manage database changes and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Lead the Management of Change (MOC) process for database updates, ensuring that all changes are tracked and documented.
Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with safety standards including company, client, and other applicable regulations.
Actively participate in safety programs to foster continuous improvement and report any safety concerns immediately.
Mentoring and Development Mentor and train less experienced technicians, providing guidance and sharing knowledge to help them improve their skills and performance.
Convey knowledge gained training sessions to the team, ensuring that the entire team benefits from ongoing learning.
General Performance Measurements: Technical Competence: Accurate analysis and reporting of condition monitoring data.
Reports are timely, accurate, and meet the client and company standards.
Customer Satisfaction: All client inquiries are courteously attended to, and strong relationships are maintained.
The professional image is projected at all times.
Safety Compliance: Work is performed safely, and continuous improvement in safety programs is actively supported.
Work areas and equipment are kept neat, clean, and organized.
Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent required.
Recognised apprenticeship preferred.
HNC/HND in a technology or engineering field preferred.
Certifications: Vibration Analysis Category 3, or industry equivalent.
Required Knowledge: Strong knowledge of machinery fundamentals (pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, etc.).
Detailed knowledge of data acquisition techniques using vibration analysers, ultrasound, infrared cameras, and motor testing equipment.
Familiarity with mechanical and electrical condition monitoring technologies.
Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years of directly related experience in condition monitoring and reliability engineering.
