Computer Science Teacher - Maternity Cover

Computer Science Specialist - Wakefield Protocol Education are working with secondary schools in the Wakefield area to appoint enthusiastic and committed Computer Teacher for a maternity cover starting in January 2025.  QTS required for this role  Start Date: 6th January 2025 Qualified Teachers paid to scale   Job Duties: Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons to students - This will be prepared and done for you.
Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance learning Establish a positive and supportive learning environment Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)    Experience: Proven experience teaching Science at secondary school level is preferred Experience working with Children/Young People within education Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students Knowledge and Skills: Excellent understanding of Computer Science concepts and principles Effective classroom management skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)  Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilitiess To apply for this role you must be based in the UK with proof right to work All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
