About the Company - Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a CAD Manager.
This client-side role reports to the Operations Manager and supports both the Strategic Service Manager and the Integration & Efficiencies Manager in developing the processes, standards & workflows for a replacement PDM/PLM software package.
This estimated 6 month position with the possibility of extension offers hybrid working (2-3 days on-site per week) and is based near Reading.
This position has been deemed Inside of IR35 and aspiring candidates must meet eligibility criteria for UK Security Clearance.
Unfortunately, Dual Nationals cannot be considered for this position.
About the Role - Key Objectives: Development and implementation of replacement PDM/PLM data management software package working to a delivery program to fulfil clients requirements.
Development and implementation of Mechanical CAD (Process Plant & Equipment) Standards in line with client requirements.
Alignment of Mechanical CAD Service in line with a suite of standards & client procedures.
Ultimately provide a professional Mechanical CAD service to customers; producing and reviewing model & asset information using newly developed PDM/PLM data management software.
Responsibilities - Implementing an approved process for integrating record information into a configured baseline in accordance with service strategy within client platforms.
Oversee the organization of models, parts & data using hierarchical assembly structures, driving consistency throughout the company baseline.
Provide SME support to inform industry best practice for the appropriate methodologies to apply in model / data management.
Work with project resources across the business to rationalize requirements & identify potential solutions to issues concerning working model datasets.
Drive best practice across the service to promote standardized, efficient working practices in the creation and management of Hierarchical Model sets.
Develop, implement and monitor Mechanical CAD (Process Plant & Equipment) standards and procedures to meet client requirements as well as aligning to industry best practice.
Develop, implement & monitor Mechanical CAD (Process Plant & Equipment) Standards and procedures to achieve a quality, configured baseline for the client.
Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies to promote and deliver continuous improvement through People, Processes & Technology.
Participate in presentations to clients and peer groups.
Work with the in-house Compliance & BIM teams to understand project baselines and develop reporting methodologies to capture project compliance and integration across different software platforms.
Seek to understand opportunities for cross team data integration and create workflows to support the lifecycle of data for assets.
Recommend best practices for solutions to meet customer requirements.
Understand and apply responsibilities with regards to the Company's Environment, Health, Safety (100% safe), Security and Quality Standards.
Comfortable working to a defined program and associated delivery milestones.
Qualifications - Advanced knowledge of Modelling principles, of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD other software packages.
Advanced knowledge of Equipment Data and its application within the sector.
Advanced knowledge of Hierarchical Assembly Data.
Advanced knowledge of common data environment and Electronic Data Management Systems such as Vault, Teamcenter , Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
Working knowledge of BIM processes and integration with PP&E data.
Advanced knowledge of Product Definition (Drawing) Standards.
Required Skills - Experience of Digital Integration of Mechanical CAD deliverables with other discipline systems i.e.
Asset Management, BIM, Facilities CAD, GIS.
Understanding configuration for asset lifecycle management.
Awareness of using Data visualisation software like Power BI.
Demonstrate an understanding of technical standards and regulatory requirements for data management.
Good interpersonal oral, written and presentational skills associated with report creation and scope documentation.
Good technical and management skills including problem solving and decision making.
Clear, concise and unambiguous exchange of information with others.
Proactive and motivational whilst commanding respect from all stakeholders through technical and personal credibility.
Able to listen to others to identify their needs and objectives in a given situation.
Able to challenge and question appropriately.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to achieve deadlines.
