Composite Design Engineer - (SolidWorks Expertise) We are seeking a Composite Design Engineer for a dynamic and innovative client operating at the cutting edge of the Aerospace , UAV , and Drone industries.
This role is integral to the design and development of advanced composite structures used in high-performance applications.
Location : Hampshire, UK Responsibilities: Design, model, and develop composite structures for UAVs and drones using SolidWorks .
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and testing, to ensure all designs meet stringent industry standards.
Conduct stress analysis, material selection, and optimization to ensure performance and efficiency.
Support the production team with the creation of detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs .
Engage in prototype development, testing, and iterative design improvements.
Required Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks for designing composite materials and structures.
Strong understanding of composite materials , layups, and the manufacturing process.
Prior experience in the aerospace , UAV , or drone industry is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with stress analysis and FEA tools for composite materials.
Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
