Purpose of the Role: Role Dimensions: To participate in the Build and Assembly of Formula One cars, often working across multiple, cross resource functions in order to build car-assemblies, individual main car components and associated support equipment at the McLaren Racing Composites facility.

Principal Accountabilities: Produce parts 100% to engineering drawing
To ensure all parts conform to specific instruction sheets
Inspection of completed components
Trim and Assemble carbon fibre components
Initial assembly of new car parts
Servicing items from race and tests
Preparation of parts for NDT inspection
Participation in continuous improvement activities
Job requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Ability to read engineering drawings and engineering skills background
Good practical skills
Experience of trimming and assembling of carbon fibre is essential
Problem solving skills
Ability to work under pressure
Basic PC literacy
Personal Attributes:  Work well in a team
Able to use own initiative
Not fazed by tight timescales
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication skills

McLaren Racing Composites (MRC) is based at the McLaren Racing Composites Facility in Woking Business Park.
This is a new state-of-the-art production centre with the latest in CNC machines and autoclave technology, an open plan office, gym and quiet room.
The site is situated on the canal for easy walking and cycling commutes as well as local amenities within walking distance.
