Compliance Team Leader

LWMTS is a trading company (wholly owned by Lichfield District Council).
We assist local authorities and businesses, helping them to hire top level local talent and offer a better approach to their recruitment solutions.
We're looking for an experienced Team Leader with knowledge and demonstrable experience of managing compliance for social housing properties including e.g.
fire, legionella, electric, gas, asbestos, lifts.
Experience: 1) Efficiently manage and report on legislative compliance.
2) Provide reports for senior managers and external regulatory bodies as required.
3) Writing procedures to demonstrate actions taken in order to maintain compliance, ensuring information is kept electronically for easy retrieval.
4) Managing, evaluating and controlling the use of the contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure an efficient, compliant service across Asset Management, Housing Repairs and Housing as a whole.
5) Working with the managers of the Internal Repairs Team to agree programmes of work to the housing stock.
6) Managing, evaluating and controlling the performance of all resources involved in the effective delivery of legislative compliance.
7) Maintaining electronic records to demonstrate conformity with legislative regulations for compliance in all areas, as indicated above, e.g.
an up to date asbestos register.
Personal skills: 1) Strong project, contract, and risk management skills.
2) Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
3) Excellent verbal and written communication skills 4) Ability to resolve difficult and complex situations and deal with complaints professionally, tactfully, and diplomatically.
5) Proven leadership skills - ability to inspire, motivate and encourage others.
6) 2-3 days in the office per week is required.
Car user.
7) Educated to degree or equivalent level in a subject relevant to the job role i.e.
Housing, Construction, Building etc.
