Compliance and Health and Safety OfficerThe Officer Holder is required to advise on and administrate H&S systems and policies within the companyContinually monitor company adherence to regulatory requirements and ensure that DSE is able to demonstrate complianceRequirements:Knowledge of Corporate GovernanceReach / RoHS / CMRT SCIP reportingKnowledge of H&S systems within a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of Waste ManagementPrevious employment in a similar role - Working in ManufacturingExperience within an Electronic/Electrical or Mechanical manufacturing environmentIntegrity and strong moral principlesAbility to work on own initiative, under pressure and to tight deadlinesRisk Assessment - Investigation skillsGood communication at all levelsIT Skills – MS OfficePatience Persistence and PerseveranceKey Duties & Responsibilities:Compliance Officer:Monitor and maintain requirements for Company Governance and Code of Conduct, with regard to due diligence measures, auditing and training updates ensure Company products and systems comply with all necessary Industry-related regulatory requirements including:EU/CE Directives e.G., RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Packaging etcCountry-based import regulations for RoHS, REACH e.G., UAE ECAS China RoHS etcConflict Minerals, Responsible Minerals InitiativeCalifornia Proposition 65Others as they ariseFinancial misconductWhistleblowing – Whistle blowing OfficerGDPR – Data Protection OfficerWaste Management ReturnESOS Reporting (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme)WEEE Return o Battery Regulations ReturnPackaging Regulations ReturnEnergy Management ReturnKnown Consignor 2nd ContactCompany Risk RegisterEnsure that the tools and software utilised are current and suitable for the required tasksInitiate and co-ordinate improvement projectsProvide and support the certification/reporting processes as requiredCarry out regular audits on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, as requiredProvide regular, detailed analysis and reports of performanceHealth and Safety Advisor:To advise and administrate Health and Safety systems and policies within the company to ensure that DSE complies with all legal Safety guidelines and requirementsWith responsibilities for: Health and Safety Induction and H&S Internal trainingRisk Assessment and Risk ReductionFire Safety – Responsible PersonAsbestosLegionellaPressure Systems / LEV / LOLERAccident, Incident, Near Miss reporting and managementCommunication of H&S information with internal and external partiesContractor Rams & Method Statements review and challenge to ensure safe working processesBenefits:25 days holiday + Bank HolidaysNew flexible holiday schemeBupa Healthcare packageLife InsuranceEnhanced Maternity/Paternity pay5% Pension contributionsCompanywide performance based annual bonus scheme
