Coopman Search and Selection are delighted to partner with a top tier global hedge fund who are looking to hire a Compliance Business Analyst to form part of the compliance team.
As a Compliance Business Analyst, you will act as the bridge between the compliance, legal, and technology teams.
You will be responsible for understanding regulatory requirements, analysing their impact on the fund's trading operations, and developing business solutions to ensure full compliance.

Key Responsibilities: Monitor and interpret relevant financial regulations (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, GDPR) and translate these into actionable business requirements for the fund.
Work closely with trading, risk, compliance, and technology teams to assess current compliance processes, identify gaps, and suggest improvements.
Develop compliance reports, conduct data analysis to ensure the firm's trading strategies adhere to regulatory frameworks, and flag potential risks.
Lead and participate in compliance-related projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of solutions that align with regulatory mandates.
Liaise with legal, risk management, IT, and trading desks to implement regulatory changes, ensuring alignment across departments.
Maintain thorough documentation of compliance processes, and assist in developing and delivering compliance training to relevant stakeholders.
Experience Required: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or business analyst role within financial services, preferably in a hedge fund, asset management, or trading environment.
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and/or GDPR, and their application within a trading environment.
In-depth knowledge of financial markets and varied asset classes Strong leadership and project management skills, with the capability to lead and manage complex projects from inception to completion Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in handling large data sets.
Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python) is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex regulatory information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
