AAK Hull AAK Hull is located in the heart of an area enjoying significant redevelopment and investment.
The Port of Hull is being established as a world-class centre for renewable energy and manufacturing, and at AAK we feel proud to be part of this important industrial renaissance for Yorkshire and the UK.
At our recently upgraded site at King George Dock we operate the UKs largest refinery for edible oils and fats.
We supply businesses in the sectors of food manufacturing, baking, Foodservice and retail, and we work closely with customers to co-develop bespoke products.
About the role AAK UK are seeking to appoint a Compliance Auditor to join the Hull Technical Team.
The successful candidate will be working on a 2-shift rota and conducting duties to ensure quality is maintained throughout production.
Monday to Friday.
7am 3pm and 3pm 11pm alternating on a 2-week rolling pattern.
Responsibilities Develop and ensure complete compliance to all food safety and quality standards including HACCP, legislation, ISO, BRC & customer COPs.
Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance across all departments.
Work with all departments to ensure root cause analysis is undertaken to facilitate continuous improvement projects and ways of working.
Assist with complaint investigations to ensure appropriate corrective and preventative actions are taken as well as assisting in the closure of audit non-conformances within the required timescales.
Perform hygiene checks to ensure standards are maintained.
Provide data for daily and monthly KPI reports and drive quality improvements across thesite.
Ensuring the positive food safety culture across site About you The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience.
Previous experience working in a similar role (FMCG experience advantageous) Strong attention to detail.
Food hygiene/HACCP qualification advantageous.
Able to work well within a team and on own initiative.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to find areas for improvement.
Problem solving skills.
Able to make and communicate decisions.
