The company has a UK annual turnover approaching £280 million and employs around 1,000 people at 19 sites across the country The Position: Applications are invited for a Compliance Auditor and Support, based at our Doncaster site, with travel to other sites when needed.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
The working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am-4.30pm.
As a Compliance Officer your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company's requirements but will include: Ensuring audits are carried out to the relevant standard in accordance with Group H&S Policy.
Making contact with Site Representatives to arrange audits and implement audit schedule, based on risk exposure.
Audit preparation, i.e.
sending out pre-audit questionnaires, gathering information relevant to the audit, generating audit checklists.
Carrying out audits and evaluating H&S compliance against Group Policy and legislation.
Generating and issuing audit reports and carrying out follow-up audits and reviews.
Ensuring any H&S and compliance issues highlighted in the follow-up audit are dealt with, ensuring corrective actions are closed out/completed.
Offering Sites tailored support in continuous improvement of compliance against Group Policy and safety culture.
Supporting factory personnel with H&S/compliance issues and audits.
Ensuring all standard documentation is in accordance with requirements for H&S in respect of legislation, policy, and internal standards.
Assisting with training of factory personnel as required.
Requirements: The successful candidate will be qualified in IOSH and NEBOSH.
Good standard of formal education, including GCSE Maths and English (Grade A - C) or equivalent.
Lead Auditor ISO 45001 is desirable but not essential.
Has a good understanding of Occupational Health & Safety in the Manufacturing Industry.
Previous experience of auditing against ISO 45001.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, at all levels.
Must be self-motivated and driven, with the ability to make decisions at an appropriate level.
Have the ability to work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines, prioritising workload to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must hold a valid Passport and a clean, Full UK Driving License for UK and European travel.
