Compliance Analyst (Sanctions)

Senior Compliance Assistant (1-2 years experience) Permanent City of London (5 days in the office per week) Paying up to £35k We are currently working with an international bank based in the city of London who are looking for a compliance assistant to join their team asap.
Purpose of the Role To play a key role in ensuring the Bank fully complies with the full scope of financial crime systems and controls required for UK authorised and regulated banks.
Key Responsibilities Conduct sanctions screening for ad-hoc and in-flight transactions using industry standard tools.
Review and authorise risk-based trade finance referrals.
Maintain and periodically review the Banks legal and vendor databases.
Maintain designed Compliance Registers to ensure regulatory compliance and support monthly reporting.
Complete thematic review tasks as assigned through Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP).
Skills, Attributes & Credentials Qualifications - industry related diploma, e.g.
ICA, ACAMS, AFB and/or a degree or relevant higher education diploma.
Minimum 1 years experience in a Compliance function within banking Ability to navigate and interpret UK regulations (including PRA/FCA rulebooks) and JMLSG Guidance.
Microsoft office competence.
Strong ability to undertake presentations and manage bank-wide training programme.
