Learning Support Assistant for High Needs SEND School (Full-Time) Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for helping children with severe and complex needs?
We're looking for a dedicated, compassionate individual to join our high-needs SEND school in the New Forest, supporting children who require significant care and guidance in their learning journey.
Role: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant Location: New Forest Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour (National Living Wage) Contract: Initially through Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity to transition to a school contract after a successful probation period.
About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work with pupils with a range of profound and complex needs, including but not limited to: Severe learning disabilities and physical disabilities Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Down syndrome Communication difficulties, sensory impairments, and medical needs You'll support students with individualized learning activities, personal care, and therapeutic interventions, ensuring they can access a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Requirements: Previous experience supporting pupils with complex needs, including managing challenging behaviour.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
Commitment to full-time hours with flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of each child.
