The role involves assisting with daily routines such as feeding, mobility, and personal care, while ensuring the child's comfort, safety, and well-being.
You will be expected to follow a detailed care plan and support the child in engaging with fun and educational activities that promote their development.
Building a positive and trusting relationship is key, as emotional support is an essential part of the role.
This client requires regular deep suctioning, repositioning, and chest physiotherapy to manage respiratory health.
Seizure management is essential for epilepsy, while visual impairment requires mobility support and adaptive tools.
Gastrostomy care ensures safe feeding and prevents infections.
A coordinated healthcare team is crucial for addressing these complex needs and ensuring the person's safety and comfort.

REF: SHCCJM Responsibilities Work closely with the Nurse Manager Team to provide quality care to a paediatric client.
Commit to a regular working pattern and collaborate with Care Coordinators for effective care delivery Provide 1-2-1 support to a child with Complex Care needs Build rapport with clients and families, working within the family home to achieve individual goals Potential for growth and development into a supervisor or management role Requirements Right to work in the UK UK driving license and access to own vehicle Ability to fit seamlessly into the family home setting Compassion, confidence, and a gentle caring nature Commitment to 2 regular shifts per week.
