Position: Complex Behaviour Support Worker Contract: Temporary to Permanent Location: Chorley, Lancashire About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Complex Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at a secondary school catering to students with SEMH needs.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with young people, has experience in managing complex behaviours, and is looking to contribute to a supportive and nurturing school environment.
An interest in sport is highly desirable, as we believe physical activity can play a crucial role in helping students manage their emotions and develop key life skills.
Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex behavioural needs.
Assist in developing and implementing behaviour support plans.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing.
Use sport and physical activities as a tool for engagement, relationship-building, and development of positive behaviours.
Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Requirements: Experience working in an SEMH or similar environment (secondary school experience preferred).
Strong understanding of complex behaviours and behaviour management strategies.
A passion for sport and the ability to engage students through physical activity.
Patience, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
