Training & Competence Manager Birmingham (Hybrid), £40,000 I am currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Training & Competence Manager on behalf of a well-respected financial services firm.
This exciting opportunity is perfect for a driven individual with a background in compliance and training who is ready to make a significant impact on the development and adherence to regulatory standards within a growing business.

The Role: As the Training & Competence Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the firm meets all FCA requirements and maintains a strong internal framework.
This includes managing the end-to-end process of training and competency, ensuring all employees—from new starters to experienced staff—are supported to achieve and maintain high standards in their roles.

You will work closely with senior management and provide strategic insights into compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities: Oversee the firm's T&C function and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Develop and implement a tailored T&C scheme, including robust processes for assessing and maintaining competency.
Conduct regular audits, file reviews, and performance monitoring to identify training needs and mitigate risks.
Provide expert advice on regulatory matters, including financial promotions, Consumer Duty initiatives, and compliance policies.
Ensure comprehensive records are maintained to evidence adherence to FCA requirements.
Line-manage the Technical Team Leader, supporting their development and the implementation of T&C initiatives.
Collaborate with senior management to produce meaningful KPIs and actionable management information.
Keep up to date with regulatory changes and provide timely advice to the leadership team.
What We're Looking For: Strong knowledge of FCA regulations and training and competence frameworks.
A proven track record in a compliance or T&C management role, ideally within financial services.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with experience managing teams and driving performance.
Attention to detail and the ability to create practical, compliant solutions to regulatory challenges.
Relevant qualifications or extensive experience in compliance and regulatory training.
