Floating Support Worker Location: Regional Floating Support (Belfast Trust area) Salary: £25,545 Hours: 37 hours per week Job Summary We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Floating Support Worker to provide essential support services to individuals across multiple sites within the Belfast area.
This role involves working directly with individuals to help them maintain independence, improve quality of life, and develop essential life skills.
The Floating Support Worker will travel between locations as needed, offering support in line with each individual's personal goals and needs.
Key Responsibilities Direct Support: Provide individualized support to clients, assisting with housing, budgeting, accessing community services, and developing life skills.
Case Management: Develop and manage personalised support plans, continually assessing and adapting plans to meet changing client needs.
Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate assistance in crisis situations, employing de-escalation techniques and connecting clients with emergency services if necessary.
Advocacy: Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they have access to necessary services, benefits, and housing resources.
Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed and confidential records of all client interactions and support activities, ensuring compliance with organizational and legal standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, social services, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive support for clients.
Essential Criteria Relevant experience in a social support, care, or community outreach role.
Strong understanding of housing support, mental health, and social care systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to a mobile role.
Full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle for travel between sites.
