Community Service Work Supervisor

Job SummaryPlease note that salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours.This is an exciting opportunity for a Community Payback Supervisor to join our professionally challenging and rewarding justice services team within East Dunbartonshire Council.
You will carry out a range of duties in relation to the supervision of groups of up to 5 people with convictions, undertaking unpaid work within the community.
The service runs seven days a week and the successful post holder will be required to work a minimum of 1 day per calendar month contracted and as required with additional days to cover the demand of the service.It is essential that you are willing to deal with people from diverse backgrounds.
You must be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing; have organisational and time management skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations.Experience in gardening and environmental work, DIY, textile, jewellery, photography, furniture restoration, arts and crafts will be considered.Full training and Support will be given.
If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check.This job requires a full UK driving licence.
The post is permanent, and the service runs 7 days.
