Job summary An opportunity has arisen for anexperienced or newly qualifiedPodiatrist to join our innovative and dynamic Podiatry Service.
Our team provides high quality Podiatry Services to patients within the community across the Dudley area.
We are committed to building robust integrated care, and as such there will be a need to work closely with colleagues in other services within Primary and Secondary Care You will work in a variety of clinical settings within Dudley with the aim of delivering excellent care to high need patients in order to maintain their mobility and independence.
You must have good general clinical and diagnostic skills as you will be working on your own initiative as well as part of the team.
The post holder is required to have clear communication and interpersonal skills as well as enthusiasm for contributing to this service, which benefits from being part of this Integrated podiatry service has placement rotations for staff within its own specialist teams, MSK and Diabetes / Wound clinics as well as regular sessions on the nail surgery rota.
We meet for monthly including clinical supervision/reflective practice sessions.
You will be expected to travel across Dudley to work including undertaking home visits For an informal chat please contact Julie Meakin Podiatry Services Manager either via email or telephone 01384 321 441 Main duties of the job Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesTo provide Podiatry treatment to patients across the Health Economy on the basis of clinical and podiatric need.To use investigative and analytical skills to contribute to diagnosis, and development of individual management and treatment plans.
To provide Podiatry services in a variety of primary and secondary care settings.To participate in the departmental rotations for nail surgery, musculoskeletal clinics, tissue viability and acute services.To work in liaison with clerical support staff in order to ensure a well-organized patient focused appointment systemTo be actively involved in the provision of foot health education advice to patients, relatives and carers and to participate in foot health training where appropriate.There may also be a requirement to undertake other similar duties as part of this post in order to provide a quality service.
These will be consistent with the level of responsibilities outlined above.
