A number of exciting new roles are now available in the Bangor and Lisburn areas as: Role:Community Outreach Worker Salary:£12.42 per hour Hours of work: part time starting at 20 hours per week, mainly afternoons, with some weekend and evening work The Role: To offer practical support to families with a child or young person with a learning disability, acquired brain injury or autism, to include enabling the child to participate in social and leisure activities within their local community.
Some of our services also support adults Main Responsibilities Supporting children providing person centred support Supporting children to be safe and healthy Supporting families including providing practical and emotional support to children, families and their carers Self-directed support promoting self-directed support with families and local communities Our Benefits: Health Cash Plan supporting your wellbeing 24/7 Telephone access to a UK GP Full paid induction Enhanced Sick Pay on completion of probation period.

Essential Criteria: To apply for this role, you MUSThave: 1.
One of the following: a.
A minimum of one years paid experience* of supporting individuals and/or families, OR b.
Psychology Degree AND have a minimum of 6 months experience* in a health and social care setting, OR c. Minimum QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent**) and 6 months* experience working in a health and social care setting 2.
Experience of planning, organising and implementing activities for children and young people.

Full driving licence and access to a car which is insured for business use.
4.
Be registered, or be eligible for registration on appointment, on the appropriate part of the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) or other relevant professional body 5.
