This role receives a market pay supplement.
The salary is (£42,513 - £46,693, full time equivalent including £3,000 supplement pro-rata) for a grade 9 Community Occupational Therapists or; (£37,124 - £40,513, full time equivalent including £1,000 supplement pro-rata) for a grade 8 Community Occupational Therapists including newly qualified workers.
This payment is reviewed on a 12 monthly basis.
Further to the continued investment in a team that is developing rapidly, we are seeking to recruit additional Occupational Therapists with various contracted hours of 37/30 and 22 per week, based across the Hubs in the borough of Neath Port Talbot.
This is an exciting opportunity for Occupational Therapists with experience of social care, or for someone interested in developing a career in this setting, including those who are newly qualified.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work independently as well as being part of a team.
They will be committed to a multi-disciplinary approach to service delivery.
They will support clients to maintain independence by providing advice and information, or equipment and be responsible for making recommendations for a wide variety of interventions including adaptations.
Candidates will also complete moving and handling risk assessments and provide agreed interventions to ensure that care is provided safely and achieves satisfactory outcomes for clients.
Knowledge of right sizing of packages of care would also be beneficial.
You will have experience in;Applicants will be required to hold a Degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy and must already be registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council, or due to register in the next few months.You will work with clients within their own homes and undertake assessments of those with complex health, social and housing needs in line with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
