Job summary We are seeking a motivated, dynamic and passionate Band 5 Community Nurse to work within our Mid Bedfordshire Primary Home Care Team based in Biggleswade Health centre.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the community nursing setting.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in facilitating self-care for patients with long-term conditions, health promotion and innovative activities and projects that enhance patient service delivery and staff wellbeing.
You will also have the opportunity to be involved in Urgent Response and Virtual Wards, which is a focus of our teams.
Main duties of the job Experience in the field of adult community services is desirable but a willingness to learn and contribute is more important.

You will be required to work a shift pattern covering 7 days a week from 08:00-21:00.
Person Specification other Essential oCurrent UK driving license and access to a car oAbility to travel across sites and across Trust boundaries to meet patient needs and attend meetings, etc.
Education/Qualification/Training Essential oRegistered General Nurse oDemonstrate evidence-based practice and up-to-date clinical skills.
Desirable oEvidence of post-basic professional development oPost-registration qualification in a relevant clinical field.
oRelevant teaching/mentorship qualification or commitment to undertake oPost-registration nursing experience, including community experience Physical/mental and emotional effort Essential oAbility to mobilise and stands for most of shift; and kneels and crouches to deliver clinical care dress wounds.
