NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles.
We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a fulltime, permanent post of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday (9am-5pm).
You need to have a live NMC UK pin in order to be considered for this post.
Full driving licence is essential.
This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
This is a key role within a Community Adult Mental Health Team.
As a Community Mental Health Nurse you will have a key role in the delivery of care through effective communication and assessment skills to develop person centred care plans in conjunction with MDT.
This will allow you to deliver evidence based care and treatment and support to adults with mental health difficulties residing within South Glasgow.
You will be required to be able to work independently and as part of the MDT.
Alongside your patient caseload, you will be responsible for administration of medication in both clinic settings and patient's home environments and providing support to duty service which is covered by staff on a rota basis.
You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration with evidence of professional development and effective clinical skills.
You will be provided with nurse line management and clinical supervision to be able to support you in your role and further development.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.
This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
