Job summary Scarborough ,Whitby and Rydale team are looking for a team manager to manage the community learning disability service .
The team is a well established , friendly team who are forward thinking and welcoming to new startersWe are looking for a member of staff from all disciplines and professional background learning disabilities or adult mental health to take up this role .We are happy to support new managers into the position so if you feel that you are ready for a new challenge and have the right skills but do have the experience we will support you through the transition as neededThe team comprises of nurses, OTs, Physios, SLT ,psychologists admin and psychiatry staffThe hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday Main duties of the job The team manager will be responsible for all aspects of the service , they will be able to support staff, offering supervisions and appraisals whilst having a good understanding of the needs for the service to provide up to date data to help with the teams development About us The Trust as a whole advocate collective leadership, and the post holder will be operationally supporting a multi-disciplinary team that shares these principles of collective leadership.The learning disability collective leadership group is committed to supporting the development of its staff and will ensure a period of support is put into place from staff moving into this service Job description Job responsibilities Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for further detailed informationIf you require any further information or would wish to visit the service please contact Karen Reed, Service Manager - You can also contact Deb Slaney, Modern Matron Person Specification Qualifications Essential Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare or social work or relevant professional clinical qualification (ie PWP/CWP in IAPT/Getting Help services) Be Educated to Master's level in leadership or a subject area relevant to the area of practice OR Have equivalent clinical experience to that of masters level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in relevant clinical area with significant experience - which also includes significant experience of managing people (see below under experience), together with evidence of CPD Be trained in Clinical Supervision and Providing Clinical Supervision Be a Recognised Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor Skills Essential Able to manage complex team situations effectively Has understanding of the requirements of a busy team and juggle the day to day management of this Experience Essential Experience of managing staff Experience of working with patients with complex needs in the specialist field Working collaboratively with others (external partners, staff service users and their families/carers) Evidence of delivering supervision Detailed understanding of Safeguarding and its application in practice
