Job summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our Ripley Community Nursing team in the Amber Valley locality!
Previous experience of working in health and social care isdesirable As a clinical employee it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those set out in the DCHS Way.
A good standard of English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent) and NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) is required, along with excellent communication skills.
Access to and ability to use transport within the Amber Valley locality is essential.
You will work as part of a wider integrated team providing holistic care to patients in their own homes and care home settings.
Community HCA's carry out a plethora of patient care including wound care, catheter care and administration of injections.
Phone call enquiries welcome, informal visits can be arranged.
Main duties of the job This post will involve working within a community nursing team visiting patients within their own homes.
The successful applicant will:Assess, implement and evaluate individualised patient care in the most efficient and clinically effective way whilst maintaining the patient's privacy and dignity.Provide the delivery of high-quality care and actively support the District Nurse in the management of the health care environment.Work in close collaboration with the Integrated Community Teams.
