Company Description Cambridge Cyrenians is a charitable organisation based in Cambridge, dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. With over 50 years of experience, we provide accommodation and support to over 100 individuals annually, assisting around 25-30 people in transitioning to independence. In addition to our supported housing we have an in-house mental health nurse, a therapeutic allotment project and a older homeless floating support service. Our mission is to empower individuals to fulfill their potential, regardless of their background or past.
Role Description This is a full time role for a Community Fundraiser at Cambridge Cyrenians. The Community Fundraiser will be responsible for organising fundraising events, engaging with donors, creating fundraising campaigns, and managing donor relationships. This role is located in Cambridge with flexibility for some remote work.
Key Responsibilities
· Raise Cambridge Cyrenians local profile and social media presence, including regular press releases
· Working with Trustees and Senior Staff to develop and deliver Cambridge Cyrenians' fundraising strategy
· Identify and secure additional fundraising opportunities
· Engage with local companies to develop corporate support from the business community
· Keep track of fundraised income and expenditure
· Produce quarterly supporter newsletters on Mailchimp and LinkedIn
· Lead Community Events Working Group to develop and deliver community events
· Develop and deliver seasonal campaigns and sponsorship challenges to grow Cambridge Cyrenians' supporter base through one-off and regular donations
· Maintain individual donor records in Cambridge Cyrenians' CRM (Donorfy), ensuring Gift-Aid claims are submitted and donors are thanked in a timely manner
· Maintain Wordpress website and fundraising platforms (JustGiving, GivenGain)
· Manage social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
· Develop Cambridge Cyrenians' legacy fundraising stream
· Ensure all fundraising is GDPR compliant and complies with the Fundraising Regulator's Code
· Be passionate and advocate on behalf of Cambridge Cyrenians' work
· Network locally to build relationships working flexibly to attend local events
