Job summary We are looking for a driven Community and Events Fundraising Manager to cover north Essex, who is passionate about health charities and the role the charity plays in supporting the needs of local patients.
As a key member of the Charity Team, the Community and Events Fundraising Manager must have the creativity, skill and knowledge to deliver the best charity community fundraising, events and stewardship of our supporters, that support the wider strategy.
The post-holder will sit within the Charity team and provides an important link between the Charity and the local community, volunteers, fundraisers and hospital staff.
The post holder will work closely with colleagues to deliver an effective community and events program.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that a sustainable program of community and events fundraising is in place, has a high profile and is well marketed and managed to generate funds to agreed targets and awareness of the charity.
You will require good knowledge of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that will inspire the patients, visitors and local community to choose the ESNEFT charity as their preferred charity to: Main duties of the job To support specific fundraising projects and appeals (as advised by Head of Fundraising & Marketing and the Senior Fundraising Manager)In conjunction with the Head of Fundraising & Marketing and Senior Fundraising Manager, plan and manage the charities current events fundraising programme and contribute to its continual development.Research and develop new charity led events.Deliver planned growth of all aspects of Community and Events Fundraising.Monitor and feedback competitor activity in the region in relation to community and event fundraising.Deliver an excellent customer experience and supporter journey so that the hospital's charity is the charity of choice for people in the trust's catchmentKeep up to-date with fundraising codes of practice and regulations in relation to events, fundraising and sponsorship and ensure they are implemented appropriately About us We are ESNEFT and we provide hospital and community health services to almost one million people across east Suffolk and north Essex.

Person Specification Experience Essential Proven track record for supporting the delivery of event programmes and campaigns - from initial concept to implementation and review - and in particular, strong experience in marketing of mass participation events Experienced in developing promotional materials Experience of leading projects and budgeting Demonstrable strong interpersonal skills and experience in a customer care setting Experience of working with data entry, accurate record keeping, and running database reports Demonstrable experience of being involved with charity work fundraising and/or volunteering Ability to use a range of communication channels to build relationships including face to face and social media Desirable Experience of using a fundraising database for data entry, data manipulation and reporting Experience of dealing with people who are bereaved or dealing with personal difficult health conditions Experience of working on in-house events Working knowledge of the basics for good fundraising practice eg Gift Aid, data protection Working with volunteers Marketing and communications experience Qualifications Essential Educated to degree level or equivalent experience Further relevant training Driving licence/access to vehicle Desirable Educated to degree level Not-for-profit or fundraising training Knowledge and Skills Essential Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage many different events simultaneously and manage priorities accordingly Good problem solving, influencing and negotiating skills Effectively establish and report against KPIs, which measure success, impact and effectiveness Able to use IT systems including Microsoft Office Desirable Awareness of best fundraising practice in relation to event fundraising Social media and e-communications capability
