Job overviewCOMMUNITY ADULT PSYCHIATRY SENIOR TRAINEE (ST4-6) DOCTOR MHWT - SOUTH (WALTHAMSTOW) Contract: Fixed-Term: 5 months (06.03.25 – 05.08.25)
Hours: Full-time: 40 hours per week
Location: Jane Atkinson Health and Wellbeing Centre, 714 Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17 3HP
Qualifications needed: Full GMC Registration with a license to practiceSection 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adultsAt least 3 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) in mental health.Main duties of the jobYou will be expected to: Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adults with mental health needs, across the Southern part of Waltham Forest.Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.Provide guidance and supervision to the team.Work directly with adult patients and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers, and acute hospitals.Develop links with the local acute trusts' A&E departments and inpatient wards.Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care.Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative.Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.Person specificationGMCFull GMC Registration with a license to practiceSection 12Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.KnowledgeMastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adultsExperienceAt least 3 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) in mental health.We believe in bringing your authentic and best self to work, in order to deliver the best care to our patients.
