Your Duties: Provide timely and relevant news services to enhance and protect the organisation's reputation through effective media relations.
Build strong, professional relationships with journalists and media stakeholders, and respond to media queries with accuracy and timeliness.
Advise and guide colleagues on communication strategies for promoting services, projects, and emerging issues.
Draft news releases, statements, and briefings, and arrange media interviews and photography to achieve positive publicity.
Offer crisis communications advice and support when required.
Develop and implement communications plans across various channels, including digital, online, and social media.
Tailor content and communications for specific target audiences and utilise social media for all communication planning.
Monitor and analyse media coverage across traditional and digital platforms to identify emerging issues.
Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support communication efforts.
Assist the Communications Manager in delivering communication services that align with business needs.
Support planning and management of publicity for organisational events and initiatives.
Provide out-of-hours service support as needed and represent the organisation in external engagements.
Your Profile: Applicants must meet the following essential criteria: A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
At least two years of experience in a communications or press office role.
Experience in at least three of the following areas: Preparing timely, accurate responses to media enquiries.
Creating and implementing communications plans across multiple channels.
Building strong relationships with colleagues/stakeholders for collaborative communications.
Creating social media content for planned communications.
Other: Must have access to a car for work-related travel.
Your Benefits: £17.12 per hour.
Pension contribution.
Additional Information: Full time, Temporary.
Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, 37 hours per week.
A Basic Access NI Check is Required at a cost of £16.
