Job title: Communications Manager, Customer Communications and Marketing Location: Options include Glascoed, Portsmouth, Washington, Barrow, Scotstoun, Filton, or Frimley.

Salary: Circa £60,000 depending on skills and experience What you'll be doing: Leading the Customer Communications and Marketing delivery for the BAE Systems Maritime and Land Sector.
This includes: Collaborating with Business Development teams to deliver external output for the Sector, including provision of campaign and bid support and creation and delivery of promotional collateral Collaborating with Business Development and Government Relations teams to coordinate stakeholder engagement though opportunities arising from strategic partnerships and sponsorship activities Planning and delivering deliver high-profile presentational opportunities, such as exhibitions and strategic events on behalf of the Sector; along with developing a broader strategy for marketing and customer communications through campaigns and optimisation of owned and earned channels Having line management responsibilities for Communications professionals Working effectively with a network of exceptional Communications professionals across the Sector, wider PLC and supply base, to ensure effective coordination of content and sharing best practice to continually drive standards and enable learning Your skills and experiences: Essential Outstanding Leadership capability with line management experience Extensive communications or marketing communications experience Ability to craft comprehensive and thorough campaign plans and deliver resulting output A positive and enthusiastic outlook with excellent personal communications and presentation skills Excellent stakeholder / customer engagement credentials and background Excellent content creation, copywriting and creative communications skills, with an eye for detail Ability to effective project manage and coordinate / deliver complex programmes of work A self-starter, creative thinker and problem solver Desirable Budget management experience Knowledge of the UK media landscape and experience generating positive media coverage Knowledge of the Defence Sector with an understanding of government procurement Being widely read on geopolitics, notably in relation to defence and security matters Experience of working in or with creative agencies Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
