Fixed Term: 12 Months About the role This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our work to improve outcomes for Children and Young People in Bury.
As part of the corporate communications and engagement team you'll work alongside a team of communications professionals to drive the effective communication of our priorities and vision for Bury with a particular focus on work to support our Children and Young People's Department.
We've come a long way over the last few years to strengthen our support to young people in Bury and need your help in shouting about our good work and engaging our staff, partners and young people as part of our continued improvement journey.
You'll work to develop and drive our communications strategy and delivery across the Children and Young People's Department working in all areas of the Department including Social Care and Early Help, our support to young people with special educational needs and disability and Education.
You'll be comfortable working across internal and external communications and engagement and confident at generating high quality content across a range of media as well as shaping and driving a strategic approach to communications.
Reporting to the Head of Communications, Engagement & Marketing you'll work closely with the Executive Director of Children's Services and senior managers across our Children and Young People's Department and wider Council .

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week.
Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
