Comms plays a vital role in promoting Early Break and our mission and values as a charity. Your job will be to serve as key promoter of our charity and reach out to the young people and families we support, our customers, partner agencies, potential investors and the communities we serve, whilst maintaining our overarching image that represents us in a positive light. The role needs to ensure our staff are part of this journey.
We are looking for an ambitious, professionally curious and talented comms lead who is organised and has the ability to manage multiple workstreams in an ever changing and evolving environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in comms and will bring forth an abundance of ideas, techniques and methods for building efficient marketing strategies and will promote Early Break and the services we deliver in ways that strengthen our reputation and facilitate our continuous growth. You are someone who can help us achieve our strategic vision and goals for the future, have a creative flair, has pride in their work, embodies entrepreneurial thinking and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as an understanding of how a digital strategy will support our work.
Key Focus Define and manage the Early Break brand alongside SLT. Produce marketing and promotional materials. Create content for and maintain the Early Break website. Monitor and manage growth of the social media platforms. Produce internal and external communications. Support with media liaison. Assist the Senior Management Team (SLT) with presentations/writing proof work. Offer support and encouragement from 'enquiry to event' for anyone wishing to engage in third party fundraising for Early Break. Support or develop marketing/fundraising campaigns/initiatives that bring unrestricted income into the charity. Manage and maintain a CRM system. Work in family work, substance work or emotional wellbeing. Design and deliver training relevant to the role. Willingness to develop the role in line with Early Break offer and your own ideas for the work. Company Benefits Long Service Leave: an additional 4 weeks paid holiday after every 3 years in service (subject to attendance thresholds). Supervision: 10 sessions per 12 months with an external supervisor to facilitate reflective practice. Wellbeing Day: 2 x half days of additional paid leave every 12 months as a 'wellbeing day' for staff. Volunteer Day: 1 day additional paid leave every 12 months as a 'volunteer' opportunity with another third sector organisation of your choice.
