Siemens has established its first UK Rail Industry Hub on the outskirts of Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire.
With an initial contract to assemble nearly 80 trains for the Piccadilly line on the London Underground, we are recruiting over 300 skilled technical and support staff for our Manufacturing Facility.
Future work is expected to increase train production into the hundreds, along with expanding into maintenance and overhaul activities.

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Assessor to join our Commissioning Team in Goole.
Collaborating with the commissioning team supervisors, you will work closely with the Commissioning and Manufacturing Quality departments to ensure commissioned single cars and full units meet our and our customers' standards.
The role involves a rotating days/lates shift pattern and requires authority outside core office hours.
You will make an impact: Achieving compliance of all commissioning activities in Goole.
Incoming inspection/acceptance of vehicles into and out of commissioning, updating open points into maintenance management system and feedback to respective departments.
Ensuring compliance to technical specifications and working to documentation as per quality milestones.
Ensuring that the product maintains the required standard, identifying defects and other quality issues as early as possible to reduce unnecessary rework.
You will demonstrate: Previous experience of being a Quality Acceptance or Commissioning Technician within a similar industrial, manufacturing or commissioning environment.
Supervise compliance to meet internal control procedures and take appropriate corrective action.
Cooperation with suppliers regarding complaints and rework as part of quality acceptance.
Co-operation with suppliers/customers to allow swift resolution to open points.
It would be advantageous to have: Familiarity with SAP or Maximo (CORMAP) systems.
Experience of working within a rolling stock production environment with knowledge in quality systems.
Understanding and exposure to cross border supply chain and manufacturing lines.
