We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role Salary:Competitive What you'll be doing: Provide technical and behavioural leadership Propulsion Test Section – MechanicalResponsible for research, compilation, reviews & feedback of appropriate documentation to the required standardTo represent the company internally & externally as required by contractual agreements Responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislationIdentify to the Line Manager the required team resource & experienceLead & develop the team to achieve the programme requirements & objectives implementing performance measuresProvide expertise & advice & guidance by acting as Subject Matter Expert at an Authorisation GroupDemonstrate an in-depth knowledge of planning activitiesPerform the role of line manager to those Engineers identified in your hierarchy and demonstratemanagement behavioursTo exhibit the required company SHE behaviours and to demonstrate SHE and Quality Leadership, ensuring your team have both a thorough understanding of the content, risk & control measures and can ultimately demonstrate their competence to apply them Your skills and experiences: Previous experience of being a key person in their department beyond their per group for their technical knowledge competenceIn-depth understanding and experience of delivery, with the ability to achieve key milestonesDetailed knowledge of safety controls & procedures in a high-risk operational environmentAbility to provide technical knowledge & instruction to emergent incidents An understanding of capability & learning interventions, best practice and fundamental principles Knowledge and understanding to provide technical guidance to Gas, Fluid & Fire FightingKnowledge and understanding of Mechanical Testing and Pressure & Endurance TestingStrong analytical skills with the ability to negotiateExperienced in Stakeholder management Degree/HNC/HND in a Engineering discipline or equivalent experienceILM Level 2/CMI Level 3Benefits: You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave incentive and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.

The Propulsion Test Section team: As the Commissioning Project Lead – Mechanical (PTS) you will have the chance to work on state-of-the-art Submarine Propulsion Systems.
Working with a team of 6-20 engineers and staff to help deliver key objectives on this project within agreed timescales and budgets ensuring the right quality 100% of the time.
This role also offers excellent progression opportunities within the Nuclear Propulsion discipline.
