We are currently seeking a Commissioning Manager to join our team in London.
Primary Responsibilities Management of the entire building commissioning process, including BMS and fire alarmDeveloping commissioning plans, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts for mechanical systemsDevelopment and third-party buy-in into project certification strategies specific to mechanical componentsRecording detailed progress prerequisites for mechanical systemsRoutine population and management of data in our project management software, with a focus on mechanical aspectsUndertaking and reporting inspections and tests related to mechanical systemsAssisting in the development of design and commissioning documentation for tender and construction purposes, emphasizing mechanical elementsAttending project and internal meetings as needed, representing the mechanical commissioning perspectiveArranging test instrumentation with a specific focus on mechanical systemsAssisting in the development of tender submissions with an emphasis on mechanical requirementsSupporting projects during client discussions of a technical nature related to mechanical componentsReviewing technical papers/reports related to mechanical systems before publicationWorking closely as part of a general contractor's team to develop commissioning strategies and processes aligned with project objectives, with a focus on mechanical aspectsUndertaking technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals, and technical submittals related to mechanical systemsManaging detailed recording of meetings, particularly those involving mechanical commissioning discussionsProviding routine progress reporting and final project close-out reports with a focus on mechanical systemsManaging attendance and reporting of factory tests for mechanical componentsArranging third-party sign-off as necessary for mechanical systemsProviding technical advice to clients regarding project and operational risk related to mechanical aspectsRequired Qualifications A minimum of 8 years of commissioning experienceIndividual drive, enthusiasm, and high attention to detailDetailed technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systemsA good working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeCreativity and an ability to problem-solve quicklyMulti-tasking abilitiesBeing task and deadline focusedAbility to work collaborativelyAbility to consistently produce high-quality project workPreferred Qualifications A commissioning professional as certified by an accredited agencyBachelor's Degree preferredProfessional Engineer preferredData Center commissioning experienceCommissioning certification preferred (CxA, CCP, BCxP, or CBCP)Have one or more specific, relevant, technical expertiseProficiency in HVAC load calculation software such as Trace or IESPreference given to local candidatesWhy HDR At HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's also about what you do and how you do it.
