About the Role of Commis Chef As a Commis Chef, you will help create food to serve a 40 seat restaurant with emphasis on unpretentious creative cuisine made using the finest ingredients.
Commis Chef Duties and Responsibilities: Help with smooth running of the kitchen on a day to day basis with the Head/ Sous Chef.
Inspire the brigade to ensure the kitchen runs effectively at all times.
Assists with the planning of menus and meals.
Ensure consistency of produce throughout the kitchen.
Help preparation before service and during service ensure presentation of food is compliant with restaurant standards and ensure customers are served efficiently and effectively.
Possess an in depth knowledge of the full menu.
Help achieve labour and food costs through efficient working structure.
Comply with health and safety standards in the kitchen and compliance with food labelling and temperature controls.
