Joining us on a full-time basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £25643 - £27874 per annum plus excellent benefits.As the Tankered Waste Sampler you will ensure the tankered waste facility within our Sewage Treatment Site is operated in a manner that ensures SWWs legislative responsibilities are met, these include, but are not limited to, Health, Safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors, the compliance and processing of Waste Transfer Notes, Routine Sampling and Customer Recharging.Other duties will include supporting the site team in delivery of reactive and planned works as part of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the wider Waste Water Treatment Works What you'll be doing:Monitor commercial tankered waste import activities to ensure compliance with company policy, processes, and regulatory permits Undertake checks, completion of and storage of Waste Transfer NotesReject loads that do not comply with regulated permit conditions and EWC codes, notify the tankered waste management team and complete required documentationUndertake routine sampling, including the completion of documentations required for submission to Countess Wear LaboratoryNotify Site Manager or Pilot immediately should waste being discharged that contravenes the site permitUndertake basic maintenance activities around the tankered waste area to ensure the area is always clean, tidy and safeComply with company policies and procedures Support site team to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the treatment process and whole site Work in a manner that keeps you and those around you safeApply and maintain high levels of Health, Safety and Welfare to all tasks undertaken What we are looking for:5 GCSEs A-C grade or equivalent in Maths, English and a Science subjectTechnical training in waste water treatment/engineering/operation advantageous – similar consideredProficient communication skills, both written and verbalHave the ability to develop professional working relationships and liaise with people from all levels of hierarchyThe ability to identify and implement "best practice"A flexible approach to workload and working hoursPrepared to travel throughout the regionFull UK Drivers LicenceWhat's in it for you:Generous holiday allowance plus bank holidaysA discretionary BonusCompetitive Contributory PensionShare-save SchemeVarious health benefitsWellbeing support programmesA range of Group DiscountsCycle to Work SchemeFinancial support servicesAnd plenty more!Closing Date: 29th November 2024If you are looking for a new challenge, please click apply now to be considered as our Commercial Tankered Waste Support Assistant- we look forward to receiving your application.Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to a mandatory DBS check as part of the onboarding process.Be yourself, we like it that way.
