We are currently seeking a motivated and driven Commercial Sales Consultant to join our team and play a key role in growing our client base and expanding our business within the SME, commercial, and industrial sectors.The RoleAs a Commercial Sales Executive, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving annual sales targets for our renewable energy products and services.
Your initial goal will be to secure a minimum of £1 million in new business revenue in Year One, sourced through your own leads as well as inbound enquiries.
This role requires a proactive, self-driven individual with a deep interest in renewable energy and a strong sales background.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Achievement: Meet and exceed set sales targets for renewable energy products and services.Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding and addressing their needs with tailored solutions.Business Development: Identify new market opportunities within the renewable sector, especially among SME, commercial, and industrial clients.Proposal Preparation: Prepare and deliver accurate proposals, quotes, and contracts that align with clients' specifications.Product Expertise: Stay informed on renewable technologies and trends to communicate the value of our products effectively.Sales Forecasting: Track sales activities, forecast performance, and provide regular reports to the Sales Director.Collaborative Coordination: Work closely with the Design team to propose solutions via platforms like PV Sol, Solar Edge, CAD, and collaborate with Marketing to enhance social media presence.CRM Management: Manage and update sales projects on SalesForce CRM, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.Qualifications and ExperienceEducation: GCSE or equivalent required.Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales, ideally in renewables or related sectors.Client Management: Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding needs, and providing solutions.Renewable Energy Knowledge: A professional interest in or knowledge of the renewable energy sector.Skills & Personal QualitiesPositive Attitude: Self-motivated with a "can-do" approach.Professionalism: Confident and polished in client interactions, with strong negotiation skills.Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing tight deadlines.Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Team Player: Able to work independently and as part of a team.Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (SalesForce preferred).Additional RequirementsFull UK driving license required.Must pass a basic criminal record check.Proof of right to work in the UK and provide five years of references.Willingness to travel to support business objectives.BenefitsBasic Salary of £30,000 + commission.Annual Salary Review.Generous Holiday Allowance: 30 days, increasing to 33 days with yearly service (inclusive of Bank holidays).Company Sick Pay.Pension Plan.Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Leave.Life Assurance.Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme.HealthShield Membership: Enjoy discounts on daily essentials, leisure activities, and claim back on health-related expenses.24/7 Employee Assistance Plan Helpline.Opportunities for Professional Growth: Join a market-leading, rapidly expanding company.If you are passionate about renewable energy and have a strong track record in sales, we would love to hear from you!Location: Midlands, LE16 9HWSalary: £30,000
