Job Description Commercial Officer - Key Responsibilities: Support the commercial aspects of our finance system, focusing on contract management and procurement processes.Lead and manage complex or high-risk contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, helping to meet commercial objectives and timelines.Provide advice on procurement activities, ensuring compliance with internal guidance and relevant legislation.Conduct research on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.Act as a subject matter expert for commercial matters, driving value and operational improvements.Contribute to the development of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes.Support colleagues in managing contracts and mitigating risks, offering coaching where necessary.Collaborate on contract assurance reviews to ensure performance metrics are met and underperformance is addressed.The Successful Applicant Commercial Officer - Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in contract development and negotiation.Strong understanding of complex contract documents and procurement processes.Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a small team.Strong problem-solving and data analysis abilities.Ability to organise workload to meet tight deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships with suppliers to ensure value for money.What's on Offer Commercial Officer - What's on Offer for the Candidate: Competitive Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 per year, based on experience.Hybrid Working: Flexible working arrangements, allowing a balance of office and home working depending on business needs.Career Development: Opportunities for professional growth and development within a supportive and dynamic team.Positive Working Environment: Be part of a collaborative and inclusive workplace that values equality, diversity, and inclusion.Supportive Culture: A culture that encourages learning and growth, offering coaching and upskilling activities for personal and professional development.
