Responsibilities :Lead and manage a team of surveyors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and consistency.Oversee the preparation and review of development and infrastructure budgets, ensuring accuracy and value for money.Lead the preparation and analysis of bi-monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) to ensure costs are controlled and profitability is maximised.Manage the procurement process, negotiating contracts and agreements to achieve best-value outcomes.Monitor and update build costs to ensure land appraisals reflect up-to-date market conditions.Ensure all projects comply with company policies, health and safety standards, and relevant legislation.Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management to support strategic decision-making.Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment with regional and national business objectives.Candidate Requirements:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager within the housebuilding industry.Experience in managing and leading a team of surveyors.Strong financial management skills with the ability to manage detailed budgets and financial models.In-depth knowledge of construction legislation and industry standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.Experience with COINS software is desirable but not essential.Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent) in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.Full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel, including occasional overnight stays.What's on Offer:Competitive salary (dependent on experience).Company car or car allowance.Bonus scheme.Pension.Life assurance.Private healthcare.Application Details:This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established housebuilder and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors.
