We are seeking aProcurement Manager on a permanent full-time contract to work within the DDAT commercial delivery team supporting procurements for this critical and market leading category.
You will be based in our Leeds or London office helping to deliver our ambition - working together to harness the power of the marketplace to deliver maximum value to our healthcare system.
We do this to enable NHSE to support NHS staff at work, help people get the best care, and use the nation's health data to drive research and transform services.

The role requirescommercial experience and knowledge, with a proactive approach to support commercial input, shape commercial strategy, and deliver hands on procurement ensuring value for money across the organisation and its programmes.
The ideal candidate will be driven to seek opportunities to create greater value in the work that they do and have an understanding and working knowledge of the full commercial lifecycle, especially in the public sector.
Main duties of the job Able to successfully implement procurement policy objectives in all sourcing projects and is able to challenge risk averse behaviours where appropriate.
Able to navigate the legislative framework and implement resource efficient strategies that result in achievement of policy objectives.
Fully conversant with organisational commercial strategy and procurement policies, procedures, security requirements, processes and governance mechanisms and is able to advise and support colleagues in their application.
Identifies and works with cross disciplinary teams (that includes the contract management function) and applies a strong visual project management approach to procurement projects.
Able to quantify and source contract management resources.
Able to identify and choose contract management representatives to review tender pack and take part in the evaluations.
Identifies the costs of existing or similar service provision and engages with suppliers in the marketplace in a planned way.
Ensures that contract management mobilisation phase and supporting activities are carried out successfully.
Applies the most appropriate evaluation strategy to a sourcing requirement taking into account the type of commodity being procured, complexity, value and strategic importance.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met.
To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.

Job description Job responsibilities Some of the key skills and experience you'll bring to the role: Driven, highly motivated individual with extensive experience of managing a range of commercial lifecycle activities, ideally from within the public sector.
Some experience relating to public sector procurement and contract management aligned with MCIPS, IACCM OR equivalent qualifications or experience.
Excellent communication skills, ability to impart information effectively to internal and external stakeholders with varying degrees of technical knowledge and at all management levels.
Ability to support the development and maintenance of effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring the best commercial results.
Experience of working with commercially sensitive and highly confidential information in accordance with all regulatory and any contractual obligations Experience of using a procurement and contract management software solution to support own workload and facilitate accurate and reliable reporting.
Experience supporting commercial projects, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed and communications are managed appropriately, including maintaining comprehensive audit trails.

Experience of contributing to the development of complex sourcing and evaluation strategies and associated commercial contracts.
Experience of supporting the development and publication of a full bidder pack for DDaT procurements coupled with experience of management of the end to end ITT lifecycle.
Knowledge of Public Contract Regulations and NHS/Government Commercial policies or equivalent complex commercial environments Values & Behaviours Essential Experience of supporting senior management with multi-stakeholder environments including supplier and market management and engagement
