We are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Manager to join our client, a small independent management company delivering innovative solutions across various sectors in Cornwall.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the business, focusing on client satisfaction while achieving commercial and operational objectives.
As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategies, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
You will work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to drive growth and maintain exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve revenue growth and operational efficiency.
Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and sustainable client partnerships.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams, to identify and maximise business opportunities.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity, identifying risks and opportunities for growth.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, including data privacy.
Optimise pricing models, cost structures, and internal processes to enhance profitability.
Oversee operational resource planning, ensuring the effective deployment of staff to meet contract demands.
Monitor financial performance, including budgeting and cost control, to achieve operational goals.
Lead and develop the team by conducting appraisals, identifying training needs, and managing staff performance effectively.
Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality services, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Candidate Requirements: Proven experience in a commercial or business leadership role.
Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering business growth.
Experience in monitoring KPIs and driving operational improvements.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Proven ability to manage and develop teams, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement.
Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends to inform decision-making.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a commitment to client satisfaction.
