Commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit a Commercial Litigation Solicitor or Barrister of 5 or more years' PQE/Call with a focus on Procurement Litigation.
The team has a number of panel appointments and has an impressive and growing client list including a number of the largest public sector bodies, as well as leading suppliers.
Clients include central and local government, national agencies, NHS bodies, education institutions, charities and utility companies, as well as suppliers to the public sector and utilities from SME's to plc's.
They provide clients with pragmatic and commercially focused advice and are looking for a lawyer who can put their specialist knowledge of procurement disputes into practice and find practical solutions to support their clients' objectives.You will work predominantly with the head of the contentious procurement practice together with the other commercial litigators specialising in public procurement disputes, as well as working with and supervising other, more junior, commercial disputes lawyers.
You will be involved in all aspects of procurement disputes and contentious advisory work, for both procuring entities and suppliers.
Additionally, you will also work with lawyers in the non-contentious Commercial team, in providing support and advice in relation to public procurement law.
Applicants will have a proven track record in high level procurement disputes work and have the ability to take responsibility for their own matters and clients, and to help in growing the practice, as well as being able to demonstrate your emerging experience and success in business development and bringing on junior lawyers.
Whilst the main focus of the role is procurement disputes, we would welcome applications from candidates who are also able to support clients on general commercial litigation matters.
