Since October 2024, we are now part of BCP Leisure, which provides leisure services across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.
Our Commercial Leisure Relations Officers operate from the front desk as the face of our facility, from welcoming customers to the centre to advising on products and services and completing administrative tasks. This position is based at Poole Dolphin Leisure Centre, but there may be demand for cross-site working.
Role Purpose Provide excellent customer care to all those who interact with the centre. Promote positive health and wellbeing in our community. Assist customers in person, over the telephone, and via email. Handle queries regarding the centre, facilities, events, and activities. Take bookings and payments on the point of sale system. Assist with general administration and maintain good housekeeping in the Reception area. Manage sales and memberships on the CRM software. Main Responsibilities The main responsibility of the Commercial Leisure Relations Officer is to provide a calm, professional, and high-quality front-line customer service. This includes carrying out day-to-day administration to ensure the service is run as efficiently as possible, ensuring knowledge and understanding of products and services remains current, and assisting in the evacuation of the building in an emergency. Support during other emergencies such as First Aid incidents is also required, and First Aid training can be provided.
The Ideal Candidate Good verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work in a busy and dynamic environment. IT skills including Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and willingness to learn our CRM software. The ability to work using own initiative. Experience in customer services would be desirable. Our casual contracts offer flexible working hours that vary each week based on business needs, including coverage for annual leave. The reception team operates with early shifts starting at 7:30 AM and the latest finishes at 9:00 PM, with shift hours falling between these times. Weekend shifts are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. To promote a positive work/life balance, the schedule follows a 2-week pattern, with the rota provided in advance to allow you to plan. However, the exact hours may vary from week to week depending on staffing requirements.
