The Role Commercial Law - Legal Secretary - Up to £34,000 salary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organized and motivated Legal Secretary to support our Corporate team in Leeds.
The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and secretarial assistance to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the department.
The firm is highly regarded, often acting on a range of complex issues for an array of individuals and businesses.
This role is ideal for a Legal Secretary looking for an opportunity to take ownership of their work while contributing to a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate with fee earners to manage and prioritise workloads effectively Accurately produce a variety of documents, including both copy and audio typing Manage diaries, scheduling meetings, and keeping track of fee earners' commitments Handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence with a high level of professionalism Communicate directly with clients, taking instructions and maintaining comprehensive client records Assist with billing and the preparation of legal documents, following established precedents Prepare legal forms, ensuring all deadlines are met and time is recorded efficiently Open and manage new client files, ensuring full compliance with anti-money laundering regulations Maintain an organised and efficient filing system for fast and accurate information retrieval Key Skills & Attributes Seasoned Legal Secretary with impeccable attention to detail Self-driven with a proactive, positive attitude with excellent time management and organisational skills Proficient using Microsoft Office and other IT tools Strong communication skills with a professional and approachable manner Reliable, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks within a busy environment The Benefits & How to Apply Excellent basic salary Generous Annual Leave + Bank Holidays + Christmas Shutdown Superb working environment Company pension Ongoing training and development Accessible public transport (transport links to train and bus routes) Apply in the strictest of confidence via telephone or email.
