Are you a seasoned commercial leader with extensive experience in the Construction or Utilities sector?
A highly successful client of ours is seeking a Head of Commercial to join their dynamic team within the water industry.

You will play a critical role in driving the commercial strategy and operational success of our Business Unit.

Reporting directly to the Delivery/Commercial Director, you will have the opportunity to shape and execute strategic commercial plans that foster growth and outperformance across the entire unit.

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement commercial strategies that ensure outperformance, aligning with the Business Unit's goals and objectives.
Commercial Function Management: Lead and oversee all aspects of the commercial function, managing a high-performing team to successfully deliver on the Alliance and Business Unit's strategic aims.
Procurement & Estimating Models: Collaborate with the Procurement Team to establish cutting-edge procurement models and with the Estimating Team to maintain precise project lifecycle models, ensuring accurate cost capture and timely project closure.
Cost & Performance Assurance: Oversee the cost management and performance indicators across the Business Unit, ensuring robust profit/loss accountability against the budget.
Stakeholder Management: Liaise with senior stakeholders, managing expectations and delivering key outcomes, ensuring integration and collaboration across teams to achieve better value.
Senior Experience: Significant experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial role within the Construction or Utilities sector, with a proven track record in delivering high-value projects.
Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to manage risk, issues, and commercial contracting with proven success in delivering best practices and commercial outcomes.
Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate strategy effectively at all levels.
Educated to degree level, with a commitment to continuous learning and development for both yourself and your team.
Change Management: Proven experience in driving change and delivering quality results within tight deadlines.
