We are seeking a Senior Commercial Finance Manager to lead the companies financial efforts within the largest part of the Group.
This pivotal role ensures optimal deployment of working capital, particularly overseeing stock holdings and rebates receivable.
You'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders, providing insights and support while also delivering robust challenges to drive performance.
You will be managing a team of 3 Analysts (qualified & PQ) so it is essential that applicants are qualified and have management experience.
This position offers remote working, with the requirement to travel to Oxford on a bi-monthly basis.
Key Responsibilities: Category Management: Monitor category performance and present analysis at trade meetings.
Identify market trends, risks, and opportunities.
Coordinate forecasts and budgets for product categories.
Validate initiative's impact on the P&L and assist in commercial negotiations.
Commercial Income: Ensure accurate reflection of supplier rebates and other funds in the P&L.
Monitor accrual accuracy and collect contract support.
Optimise price deferral income and validate stock rebate elements.
Inventory Management: Support branches in maintaining optimal stock levels.
Produce and challenge stock budgets and forecasts.
Provide detailed inventory reporting and implement stock optimisation initiatives.
Leadership: Manage a team of 3 analysts focused on inventory, commercial income, and category management.
Provide ad-hoc financial support to senior leaders.
Person Specification: Recognised finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) Strong analytical and communication skills.
Experience in financial modelling and business partnering.
Management experience Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
