The Role
As Commercial Director, you will lead the commercial strategy for the Waste & Recycling market, driving growth through customer acquisition, partnerships, and market expansion. You'll oversee the P&L for this sector, ensuring strong financial performance aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities Market Strategy: Develop and execute a growth strategy for the Waste & Recycling sector.
Business Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities, including acquisitions, partnerships, and new markets.
Customer Focus: Lead customer acquisition, retention, and relationship management for new and existing clients.
P&L Management: Oversee sector profitability, ensuring strong financial outcomes.
Tender Processes: Craft and present winning bids to secure key projects.
Negotiation Expertise: Engage effectively with counterparties of various sizes to secure advantageous agreements.
Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred).
10+ years of experience in sales and business development, with at least 5 years in Waste & Recycling.
Knowledge of e-mobility, renewable energy, battery storage, EV charging, and related technologies is a strong advantage.
Proven skills in negotiation, account management, and client acquisition.
Track record of successfully entering new markets and expanding client bases.
Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and adept at multitasking with strong leadership abilities.
